A case study in label design: how we helped McGuigan create an unashamedly alcohol-free wine brand
Coming to us, they had a serious vision – to create a brand that’s proudly McGuigan, unashamedly alcohol-free, and globally recognisable - premiumised non-alcoholic wines that consumers would be proud to show off.
It was clear to us to design a brand that said ZERO right from the start, yet led with the McGuigan branding that consumers recognise and love.
When creating an alcohol label strategy, it was important to keep the text-led labels McGuigan Wines are known for. Our design uses a contemporary refined palette and clean, crisp typography to incorporate the range name Zero and 0.0 (representing 0.0% ABV), emphasising the wines are alcohol-free.
The prominent placement of the signature of Brian McGuigan - founder of McGuigan Wines – represents the company’s proud ownership of the range and was an integral part of their overall alcohol label design.
